BISON alumni who are interested in scholarship opportunities available through our college partnerships should begin by applying for admission directly to the participating college.
Once accepted, students may apply for eligible BISON-affiliated scholarships through the college or its designated scholarship application process.

Villa Maria College offers BISON Scholars additional financial support to make college more accessible and affordable. Any former BISON Scholar who qualifies for admission is eligible for a renewable $2,500 annual scholarship, in addition to qualifying Villa Maria merit aid, with books and supplies included and no GPA requirement to maintain the award. Villa Maria also offers one BISON Distinguished Scholar Scholarship each year, providing a qualifying BISON Scholar with full tuition for four years, books and supplies, and priority access to the college’s mentoring program.

Through a partnership with SUNY Erie Community College (ECC), BISON alumni can continue their education with support from the Pathways to Prosperity Scholarship. The two-year scholarship provides $1,000 per year to help cover tuition, books, and supplies while students pursue an associate degree or certificate. The program is designed to help students prepare for rewarding careers in high-demand fields such as healthcare, technology, and the skilled trades, creating a pathway from higher education to career opportunities right here in Western New York.
