BISON is proud to partner with Villa Maria College and SUNY Erie Community College (ECC) to provide additional scholarship opportunities for BISON scholars as they continue their educational journeys. These partnerships help BISON alumni take the next step toward earning a college degree and building a successful future.

BISON alumni who are interested in scholarship opportunities available through our college partnerships should begin by applying for admission directly to the participating college.
Once accepted, students may apply for eligible BISON-affiliated scholarships through the college or its designated scholarship application process.

Villa Maria College is proud to announce the start of two new scholarships for BISON alumni looking to attend college. In recognition of the academic achievements of BISON scholars graduating from high school, Villa Maria College is providing access to high-quality, Catholic, high education here in Buffalo.
The Villa Maria College – BISON Distinguished Scholar Scholarship is a full tuition, last-dollar scholarship awarded annually to the top BISON scholar attending Villa Maria College. The scholarship is available to one recipient each year.
The Villa Maria College – BISON Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship, in addition to merit aid, is available to any high school graduate who was a BISON scholar who qualifies for admission at Villa Maria College.

We are excited to share a new and meaningful opportunity for our alumni through a partnership with SUNY Erie Community College.
The Pathways to Prosperity Scholarship is a two-year scholarship program designed to support students as they take the next step into higher education and career pathways. This opportunity is available to graduates and participants of programs like the BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund and several other community partners.
What this scholarship offers:
Have been a member of the BISON program during their K-12 education.
Meet admission requirements for the college.
Be accepted by the college during their admission process.
After acceptance, notify the college and BISON that you wish to be considered for the scholarship.
